Dr. Douglas Suffield, DACM, AP, Dipl.OM, CFMP

Dr. Douglas Suffield is a nationally board-certified acupuncturist, Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP), and clinical innovator specializing in evidence-based integrative care. He holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health and Science, with advanced training in functional diagnostic medicine, chronic pain management, and integrative healthcare systems. His unique ability to merge modern medical science with the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) allows him to craft highly personalized, results-driven treatment plans designed to transform health at its core.
Dr. Suffield’s expertise includes functional lab testing, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and mind-body therapies such as Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE), Qi Gong, and mindfulness-based stress reduction. His clinical focus lies in addressing chronic pain, neurological disorders, hormonal imbalances, and complex stress-related conditions through a whole-person, root-cause approach.
His professional journey is defined by leadership and innovation. At UF Health Jacksonville, Dr. Suffield spearheaded a groundbreaking CDC and DOH-funded pilot program, becoming the first pain coach and educator in a U.S. emergency department setting. His pioneering work helped reduce opioid reliance through education, integrative therapies, and patient empowerment—an initiative that expanded across multiple hospital departments and earned him national recognition, including the prestigious Robert L. Wears Patient Safety Leadership Award. Most recently, Dr. Suffield served as an acupuncture and functional medicine specialist at the UF Health Brain Wellness Program, where he helped veterans and first responders with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), PTSD, and chronic pain. His clinical research has been presented at national and international medical conferences, reinforcing his commitment to advancing integrative healthcare through both practice and scholarship. Dr. Suffield believes that healing is both a science and a deeply human experience.
While pain and suffering are inherently personal, he views them as universal forces that, when understood and treated with compassion and clinical precision, can become powerful tools for transformation. He is passionate about helping his patients become the most embodied and resilient versions of themselves by restoring balance, optimizing health, and fostering personal empowerment. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Suffield is a devoted husband and proud father of two young children. He enjoys golfing, cooking, reading, and having spontaneous dance parties with his family. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he can often be found rucking or spending time with his loyal dog, Sawyer, and his very vocal cat, MaeMae.
“Healing isn’t just a destination—it’s a transformation. It’s about reclaiming your strength, embracing your struggles, and becoming the most embodied and resilient version of yourself.” – Dr. Douglas Suffield

Dr. Roshine Ramdin, AP

Roshinie Ramdin, MSOM is an Acupuncture Physician with a focus on women's hormonal health and fertility.
Born in Guyana and raised in New Jersey, Roshinie moved to Florida to attend The Florida College of Integrative Medicine, where she received a Master's Degree in Traditional Eastern Medicine.
Assisting women in their hormone health started in a very personal way for Roshinie. Like many of her patients, she grew up struggling with painful periods and hormonal imbalances in which the medical system provided little answers and even less support. It is very important to her that her patients do not have to continue down that same difficult path.
Over the course of her career, Roshinie has been honored to be a part of the fertility journey of many of her female patients. Many of these patients had been told by their physicians that conception would be very difficult. Others had already been through several rounds of IVF with no success. However, through the practice of Functional and Eastern Medicine, along with their own hard work and perseverance, these women have conceived and added to their wonderful families.
Roshinie has advanced training in hormone testing, including the DUTCH test, and takes a functional approach to treating hormonal imbalances, combining modern insights with time-tested Eastern Medicine principles.
Helping women uncover the hidden reasons behind their hormonal health concerns is Roshinie's passion. Helping them to have a better understanding of how their body works and how to bring it back to a better state of balance is her treatment goal.
In her personal life, Roshinie loves traveling, decorating, cooking, and hiking.
Angela Suffield
Licensed Aesthetician

Angela began her aesthetic education at the Summit Academy in Gainesville, Florida, where she received training in facials, waxing, make-up application, and skin health. However, it wasn’t until she moved to Austin, Texas, and began working, training, and teaching at the Texas Laser and Aesthetics Training Academy (TLATA) that her aesthetics career truly took off. During her time at TLATA, Angela pursued extensive training in microneedling, laser hair removal, and advanced skin care. Angela worked her way from front desk manager to being one of the most respected and requested teachers at the academy. As much as Angela enjoyed her time in Austin, she knew that Florida would always be home, so she moved back to be closer to family during the COVID-19 pandemic. Angela has taken her training and knowledge from multiple disciplines and specialties to construct a well-rounded approach to skin care rooted in overall health and wellness. Angela is dedicated to providing the highest level of relaxing, rejuvenating, and rewarding services possible. It’s because of her commitment, passion, and joyful personality that we are so excited to have her join our team at the Integrative Wellness Center of Jacksonville.
